This page covers how to reset the Billion BiPAC-7401VGP router back to factory settings.

Before we begin we need to cover two terms that are commonly confused. These two terms are reset and reboot. To reboot means to cycle the power to the device. This is done by pushing a button or unplugging the device, waiting a minute, then plugging it back in. To reset means to take all the settings on your router interface and return them to factory defaults.

Warning: Resetting this router can be problematic if you don't know what settings will be changed by this reset. We suggest making a list of settings you know will be changed. We have started this list for you:

  • The router's main username and password.
  • The Internet name and password.
  • The ISP username and password if you use DSL. Call your Internet Service Provider for this information.
  • Have yoou made any other configurations to your router? This could include port forwards, IP address changes, etc.

Due to the recessed nature of this button you need to take the end of an unwound paperclip or the tip of a pencil to press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds. Make sure you hold this button down for the entire amount of time. If you only press and release this button you may only reboot the router instead of resetting it.

Please be aware that this is going to erase every setting you have ever made on this router. We strongly recommend that you exhaust other troubleshooting methods before you continue.
