Configure your Computer to Have a Static IP Address

Port forwarding the Billion Bipac 7404VGOX to your computer can be more reliable if you first configure a static IP address on your computer. We have instructions to setup a static IP address for Windows 7, Windows 8, and a variety of other devices on our Static IP Address Settings page.

Please note that while setting up a static IP address on your computer is optional, it is still a very good idea to go ahead and do it. In the long run it will make your port forward much more reliable.

Login To The Billion Bipac 7404VGOX

To get started forwarding a port you need to login to your Billion Bipac 7404VGOX router. If you are already logged in you can skip this step.

Forward a Port on the Billion Bipac 7404VGOX router

Find The Port Forwarding Section of the Billion Bipac 7404VGOX

Now that you have finished logging into the Billion BiPAC-7404VGOX you are taken to the Device Information page. First, click Configuration link.

A new sub menu now opens, click Virtual Servers and then Port Forwarding.

Now to forward a port, make the following changes:

You are now on a page like the one you see above. First, enter the name of the Application in the box labeled so. It really doesn't matter what you enter here, it is for your reference. We recommend typing in something that helps remind you of why you are forwarding these ports.

Below this is Protocol. Use the drop down menu provided to choose the type of protocol you want to use when forwarding the ports.

Leave the Time Schedule as Always On.

Next is the External Port and the Redirect Port. If you are forwarding a single port, you need to enter that one port number in all four boxes. If you are forwarding a range of ports, enter the lowest number in the left box of both the External Port and the Redirect Port. Enter the highest number of the range in the right box of both External Port and Redirect Port.

The last box to fill in is the Internal IP Address. In this box enter the IP address that you are forwarding these ports to. So, if you are forwarding a port to help run a program on your computer, be sure to use that computer's IP address here.

When you are done, click the Add button and then Save Config down at the bottom of the page.

That's it, you're done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports on the Billion Bipac 7404VGOX you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
