This page shows you how to reset the Billion BiPAC-7404VGOX router back to factory defaults. Before we do that we need to discuss two terms that are easily confused. The first term is reboot. Rebooting a router is the same thing as cycling the power to the device. This is done by unplugging the power to the device, waiting 30 seconds, then plugging it back in. The other term is reset. Resetting a router is taking all the settings and returning them to factory defaults.

Warning: Resetting this router is a major step. You need to consider the consequences. We recommend making a list of settings you know will be reset. We have started this list for you below:

  • The router's interface username and password.
  • The Internet name and password.
  • If you use ISP you need to enter the ISP username and password before you can use the Internet again. Call your Internet Service Provider for more information.
  • Have you made any other changes to your router such as port forwards, or IP Addresses? All of these will be reset and need to be reconfigured.
