How to Reset a Billion Router

A factory reset puts your Billion router back to its default settings and the admin / admin login.

Before You Reset

A reset erases your Internet settings (ADSL/VDSL username, password, VPI/VCI or VLAN), WiFi, VPN and port forwards. Save a backup first if you can: go to Configuration > System > Backup/Update (or Maintenance > Configuration).

Method 1: The Reset Button

  1. With the router on, press and hold the Reset button on the back for about 6 to 10 seconds.
  2. Let go and wait about two minutes for the router to restart.

Method 2: Reset From the Web Interface

Log in and go to Configuration > System > Restart. Choose Factory Default Settings and click Restart. On some models, go to Maintenance > System > Restore Default instead.

After the Reset

Log in at http://192.168.1.254 with admin / admin, run Quick Start to get back online, and set up your WiFi.
