On this page I will show you how to reset the BT Home Hub 3 back to it's original factory settings. This is not the same thing as a reboot which is only cycling the power to the device in order to solve minor router issues. A reset erases all settings and returns everything back to factory settings.

Warning: Resetting a router can be problematic if you don't know what has been changed and what has not. We recommend making a list of the settings you know will change. We started that list for you:

  1. The router's username and password
  2. The Internet name and password
  3. If you own a DSL router you need to re-enter the ISP username and password. This info can be gathered by calling your Internet Service Provider.
  4. Any other settings you have changed will need to be rec-configured.

Remember this reset erases every setting you have changed on your device. A reconfiguration will be necessary afterwards. To avoid that you will need to try other troubleshooting methods first.
