WiFi Terms
Before we get started there is a little bit of background info that you should be familiar with.
Wireless Name
Your wireless network needs to have a name to uniquely identify it from other wireless networks. If you are not sure what this means we have a guide explaining what a wireless name is that you can read for more information.
Wireless Password
An important part of securing your wireless network is choosing a strong password.
Wireless Channel
Picking a WiFi channel is not always a simple task. Be sure to read about WiFi channels before making the choice.
Encryption
You should almost definitely pick WPA2 for your networks encryption. If you are unsure, be sure to read our WEP vs WPA guide first.

Sadly, that's all we have for this router. If you own this router we need your help. Click this link to learn more about how you can help us and others like yourself.
I can however give you a decent idea of what to do next.
First, according to what is written on this page you can set your SSID and channel here. After you have enabled the Wireless Network these two options will most likely appear:
- The SSID also called the Network Name is how you identify your network when you want to join. Create a name here that is unique and you will remember. Learn more about SSIDs in our wireless names guide.
- Changing the Channel is not mandatory. Only do this if you aren't receiving the reception or speed you think you should be. We do ask that you only use channels 1, 6, or 11. Find out why in this WiFi Channels guide.
When you are finished making these changes click the Apply button. Then at the top of the page click the option of Encryption.
The other two important security settings for your network should be on this page. Again if you own the BT Voyager-2110 router please help us out by going to this router screenshot grabber page and following the instructions there (and be sure to visit the Encryption page of your router).
On the Encryption page of your router there are two settings that need your touch.
- The Encryption Type is called a multitude of different things. The most common is the Security Type or Mode. Whatever it is called it means the same thing and should be set to the encryption you want to use. See our WEP vs. WPA guide for more information. We recommend choosing the option of WPA2.
- The Internet Password. This has a bunch of different names as well. In version two of this router it was called the WPA2-PSK Encryption Key. Whatever it may be called it is the password you use to secure your network from intruders. We recommend using at least 14 to 20 characters with a mix of letters (both upper and lowercase), numbers, and symbols. See how to do this and still have it be memorable in our Choosing a Strong Password guide.
Don't forget to save your settings. Click the Apply button near the bottom of the page to do this.
Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings
After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
