I can give you an educated guess as to what comes next. No matter how many settings are listed there are only 3 maybe 4 you need to change.

  1. The SSID - This is the network name you use to identify your network. Make this name unique so you can identify it again in the future. Learn all about the SSID in our guide titled Wireless Names.
  2. The Wireless Authorization - This is the security you use for your network. Make sure to use WPA2-PSK for the strongest form of security. Learn all about it and your other options in our WEP vs. WPA guide.
  3. The Wireless Encryption - set this to AES.
  4. The WPA-PSK (Pre-shared key) - This is the Internet password and should be strong. We recommend using a minimum of 14 to 20 characters. To do this and keep it memorable check out our guide titled Choosing a Strong Password.

When you are finished making the necessary changes don't forget to Save before you leave this page.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
