You should now be on a page similar to the one you see here. Find the box labeled (Root) SSID. This is the name you give your network so you can identify it later on when needed. Go ahead and enter a name you like, but avoid using personal information. For more on this topic, read our guide titled Wireless names.

Below that is the Auth Type. In other words, how would you like to allow wireless devices on your network. We recommend choosing the radio button of Shared Key. This is referring to using a password to access your network.

It will also have at least one symbol, number, and capital letter in the password. It does not contain any personal information or any real words. For more on this, click the link titled Choosing a strong password.

Click the Apply Changes button when you are finished.

Now that you are finished, you will need to click the Commit/Reboot option. If you are unable to do this on the current page, click Admin at the top of the page. Then, below that, click Commit/Reboot.
