How to Reset the Digitus DN-11004-O

On this page we show you how to reset the Digitus DN-11004-O router back to it's original factory default settings. This is not the same thing as a reboot. When you reboot a router you only cycle the power to the device. This solves some minor problems you might be experiencing. When you reset a router you take all the settings and return every one of them back to the original factory defaults.

Warning: Resetting this router can cause more problems for you if you don't know what settings are changed. We recommend making a list of the settings you changed. Consider the following:

  • The main username and password are reverted to factory defaults.
  • If this is a DSL router you need to re-enter the ISP username and password. Call your Internet Service Provider for more information.
  • Have you ever made any other changes to this router? If so write these down so you can set them back up after the reset is complete.

Once you have read the above warnings you need to locate the reset button on the router itself. For this Digitus router you can find it on the back panel of the device. Take a look at the image below:

Due to it's small size you need to take the tip of a sharp pencil or pen and press down on this button for more than 3 seconds. This restores all settings back to factory defaults.

Remember this erases all settings you have ever changed on the device. A reconfiguration is necessary afterwards. To avoid that you need to exhaust your other troubleshooting options first.

Login to the Digitus DN-11004-O

Tip: If the defaults aren't logging you in it could be because the reset button wasn't held down for long enough.

Change Your Password
