Which D-Link Interface Do You Have?

  • Classic D-Link interface (DIR-300, DIR-600, DIR-615, DIR-655, DIR-825 and most DIR routers made before about 2016). It has tabs across the top: SETUP, ADVANCED, TOOLS, STATUS and SUPPORT, with a menu of sub-pages on the left. The Save Settings button is at the top of each page.
  • New D-Link interface (DIR-842, DIR-867, DIR-878, DIR-882, DIR-X series, EAGLE PRO AI and EXO routers). It has a top menu of Home, Settings, Features and Management, and you click Save in the top right.
  • DSL modem routers (DSL-2640, DSL-2750U, DSL-2740U and similar). They have Setup, Advanced, Maintenance and Status tabs, or a Device Info page with an Advanced Setup menu on the left.

Default D-Link Login Details

Most D-Link routers use 192.168.0.1. Newer ones also answer at http://dlinkrouter.local. Many D-Link DSL modems use 192.168.1.1. The username is admin and the password is usually blank on older models. Newer models use admin, a password printed on the label, or the one you chose during setup.
