Setup WiFi on the Dlink DAP-1350

The Dlink DAP-1350 router is considered a wireless router because it offers WiFi connectivity. WiFi, or simply wireless, allows you to connect various devices to your router, such as wireless printers, smart televisions, and WiFi enabled smartphones.

Login To The Dlink DAP-1350

To get started configuring the Dlink DAP-1350 WiFi settings you need to login to your router. If you are already logged in you can skip this step.

Find the WiFi Settings on the Dlink DAP-1350

The wireless setup guide for the Dlink DAP-1350 router starts on the DEVICE INFORMATION page. To begin configuring your wireless settings, click SETUP near the top of the page. From here click WIRELESS SETUP.

Change the WiFi Settings on the Dlink DAP-1350

Start off by setting a Wireless Network Name. This can be anything you like, however we strongly recommend that you avoid any sort of personal information. To learn more be sure to take a look at our Wireless Names Guide.

After that, make sure that the Wireless Channel is set to either 1, 6, or 11. To find out why these are the best options see our WiFi Channels Guide.

Now set the Security Mode to Enable WPA2 Security. For more information be sure to check out our WEP vs. WPA Guide.

Following that set the Cipher Type to AES.

Then set the PSK / EAP to Personal.

Finally you'll need to set a Passphrase. This can be anything you like, however bear in mind that a strong passphrase consists of 14-20 characters and contains no personal information. For more help be sure to take a look at our Choosing a Strong Password Guide.

Congratulations! You're done. Just be sure to click Save Settings before closing the page.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
