Configure your Computer to Have a Static IP Address
Port forwarding the Dlink DFL-200 Firewall to your computer can be more reliable if you first configure a static IP address on your computer. We have instructions to setup a static IP address for Windows 7, Windows 8, and a variety of other devices on our Static IP Address Settings page.
Please note that while setting up a static IP address on your computer is optional, it is still a very good idea to go ahead and do it. In the long run it will make your port forward much more reliable.
Login To The Dlink DFL-200 Firewall
To get started forwarding a port you need to login to your Dlink DFL-200 Firewall router. If you are already logged in you can skip this step.

Forward a Port on the Dlink DFL-200 Firewall router
Find The Port Forwarding Section of the Dlink DFL-200 Firewall
This guide begins on the System Status page of the Dlink DFL-200. First, click the tab at the top of the page labeled Firewall. Then on the left, Port Mapping.
Configure the Port Forwarding section of your Dlink DFL-200 Firewall
Now to forward a port, make the following changes:
In the center section of this new page, find and click the link titled Add new.
You are now on a page like the one you see here.
First, enter the name of the program you are forwarding these ports for in the box titled Name. This step is for your information, and not crucial to the process, but it is recommended that you enter something that helps you remember why you forwarded these ports.
Second, leave the next three boxes blank. These are the Source Net, the Users/Groups, and the Destination IP.
Next, is the Service drop down menu. Choose the type of protocol you need to use to forward these ports.
The Custom source ports box should be left empty.
Then, enter the ports you want to forward in the destination ports box. These can be entered as a list, a range, or even a combination of both.
Leave the pass to port box blank.
The Pass To box needs to contain the LAN IP address of the specific computer you are forwarding these ports to.
Select Always from the Schedule drop down menu.
Lastly, click the green Apply button near the bottom of the page.
Congratulations, you're done!
Test if Your Ports are Open
Now that you have forwarded ports on the Dlink DFL-200 Firewall you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
