Find Your Dlink DIR-524 Router IP Address
We need to find your Dlink DIR-524 router's internal IP address before we can log in to it.

Pick one of these IP addresses and then follow the rest of this guide.
If the IP address you picked does not seem to work, then simply try a different one. It should be completely harmless to try different IP addresses.

Choose an internal IP Address using one of the above methods and then try to login to your router.
Login to the Dlink DIR-524 Router
Your Dlink DIR-524 is managed through a web-based interface. In order to log in to it, you need to use a web browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
Enter Dlink DIR-524 Internal IP Address
Type the internal IP address that you picked above in the address bar of your web browser. The address bar looks like this:
Press the Enter key on your keyboard. You will see a window asking for your Dlink DIR-524 password.
Dlink DIR-524 Default Username and Password
You need to know your username and password to login to your Dlink DIR-524. Just in case the router's username and password have never been changed, you may want to try the factory defaults. Here is a list of all known factory default usernames and passwords for the Dlink DIR-524 router.
