On this page you will learn how to reset the Dlink WBR-1310v2 router back to factory defaults. This is nothing like a reboot. When you reboot a router you cycle the power to the device. When you reset a router you take all the settings and return them to how they were when they left the factory.

Warning: Resetting a router is a big step and should not be taken lightly. We recommend making a list of the settings you think you may have changed in the past. Consider the following:

  • The main username and password used to access the router settings is erased and returned to factory settings.
  • The Internet name and password is also erased and returned to factory defaults.
  • If this is a DSL router you need to re-enter the ISP (Internet Service Provider) username and password. Call your ISP for the details.
  • Have you ever changed any other settings on this device. How about port forwards or IP addresses? These all need to be reconfigured after the reset is done.

Following that you'll need to log into your Dlink WBR-1310v2 router. This is done by using the factory default username and password listed for your use in our Login Guide.

Tip: If the defaults aren't logging you in it could be because the reset button wasn't held down for long enough.

Change Your Password

Once you've logged into your router we recommend setting a new password for it. Remember that this password will only protect your router settings, not your wireless network.
