Have you been trying to login to the Energy Imports VB204W router without success? It might be time to consider a reset. The type of reset I will be showing you is not the same as a reboot. When you reboot a router you cycle the power to the unit. When you reset a router you take all the settings and return them all to factory defaults. This means every single thing you have changed in your router interface is erased and reverted back to how it was when you brought the router home from the store.

Warning: Resetting a router is a big step and should not be taken lightly. We strongly recommend trying other methods of troubleshooting before you continue. We suggest making a list of all the possible settings you have changed in the past. Some of these are:

Reset the Energy Imports VB204W

Below is an image of the back panel of a Energy Imports router. Take a look at the reset button I have circled for you. This reset button is more of a pinhole to avoid accidental resets.

While the router is on take a straightened paperclip and press down on the reset button/pinhole for about 10 seconds. This begins the reset process which can take up to several minutes to complete. If you don't hold the reset button down for long enough you end up only rebooting the router instead of resetting it like you intended.

Don't forget this reset is erasing every single setting you have ever changed in the lifetime of the router. We strongly suggest trying other methods of troubleshooting before you continue.
