If you are unable to login to your router you may need to reset the Engenius ESR-9750G router back to factory defaults. This is not the same thing as a reboot. When you reboot a router you cycle the power to the unit. This solves most of the behavioral problems you might experience with your router. When you reset this router you take all the settings and return them all to factory defaults. This means every single setting you have ever changed is erased and returned to how they were from the factory.

Warning: A reset like this should not be done on a whim. Consider what changes will be taking place as a result. We highly recommend you make a list of any settings you may of changed in the past such as:

  • The router's main username and password.
  • The Wireless name and password
  • If this is a DSL router you need to re-enter the ISP or Internet Service Provider username and password.
  • Don't forget any port forwards you have done or IP addresses you have changed in the past.

With the router on, take a straightened paperclip and press down on the reset button for about 10 seconds. This starts the reset process. Login to the EnGenius ESR 9750G

After resetting your Engenius ESR-9750G router you'll need to log into it. This is done by using the factory default username and password. Not sure where you can find these? We have them listed for your use in our Login Guide.

Tip: If the defaults aren't working for you it could be because the reset button wasn't held down for long enough.

Change Your Password

Once you've reset and logged into your router we recommend setting a new password for it. This can be anything you want it to be, however keep in mind that a strong password consists of 14-20 characters and contains no personal information. Tip: Afraid of losing your new password? Try writing it on a sticky note and attaching it to the underside of your router.
