If you have tried to login to the Hamlet HRDSL512W-5 router and are unable to do so you might need to reset the Hamlet HRDSL512W-5 router back to the original factory defaults.

A reset is not the same thing as a reboot. When you reboot a router you only cycle the power to the device. When you reset the router you take all the settings and return them all to factory defaults.

Warning: Resetting this router is a big step and should not be taken lightly. We strongly recommend creating a list of all the settings you have changed in the past, for example:

  • The router's main username and password.
  • The WiFi information such as SSID and Internet password.
  • If this is a DSL router you need to re-enter the ISP username and password. Call your ISP for these details. If you don't re-enter this information you won't be able to use the Internet.
  • It's also a good idea to write down any port forwarding you have done or IP addresses you have changed.
