If you have tried unsuccessfully to login to the Hawking HWRN2 router it might be time to reset it back to factory defaults. This is not the same thing as a reboot. When you reboot a router you cycle the power to the unit. When you reset a router you erase all the changes you have made to it and revert them all back to how they were from the factory.

Warning: A reset like this one is a big step and should not be taken lightly. We recommend creating a list of all the settings you may of changed in the past such as:

  • The router's main username and password.
  • The Internet name and password.
  • If this is a DSL router you need to re-enter the ISP (Internet Service Provider) username and password. Call your ISP for these details.
  • Have you ever forwarded any ports or changed an IP address? These are erased as well.
