If you need to reset your Huawei B2368-66 router back to factory settings, then this article shows you how. Resetting a router is different than rebooting a router. Turning a router off and back on again causes a reboot. This is very different from a reset, which erases a router completely and returns it to factory default settings.

Warning: Proceed with caution; resetting your router can be a major headache. A router reset will affect the following settings:

  • The router's login and password are reset to factory defaults.
  • Your WiFi name and password are reset.
  • Any ISP settings saved in your router will be removed. You may have to contact your ISP.
  • Any firewall settings, parental controls, or port forwards that you have configured will be removed.

Resetting your router should be considered the last step. Make sure that you have tried to recover your router password using our Router Password Finder first.

Reset the Huawei B2368-66

Most routers have a small button on either the back or the bottom. Most reset buttons look like this:

Router Reset Button

Yours may look slightly different, but they are usually tiny. You may need a paper clip to push the reset button.

Hold the reset button down for 10 seconds and watch the lights. The lights on the front of the router should do something different when the reset happens. You can hold the button down as long as you like, it will not hurt anything.

Remember, this will erase everything you have previously done to this Huawei B2368-66 router.

This last step should only be taken if you have tried everything else, such as using our Router Password Finder software, which can recover lost or forgotten router passwords.

Login to the Huawei B2368-66

Now you need to log in using the factory default username and password. You can follow the B2368-66 Login Guide to find everything that you need to log in.
