Setup WiFi on the Huawei B593v2

Now you need to set a Password. A strong password contains no personal information and is between 14-20 characters in length. Check out our Choosing a Strong Password Guide for more information.

Next, make sure that the Security is set to WPA2-PSK. If this option alone is not available, we highly recommend updating your firmware. To learn why this is important, take a look at our WEP vs. WPA Guide.

After that, open the drop down menu labeled WPA Encryption and select AES.

Congratulations! That's all there is to it. Just don't forget to Submit these changes before leaving the page.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
