If you have been unsuccessful in trying to login to the Huawei B68L router, it might be time to consider a reset. A reset like the one I will be showing you on this page is different from a reboot. These two terms are confused quite often. A reboot is a cycle in the power to the unit. You unplug the power and leave it unplugged for about 30 seconds. Then plug it back in and wait for it to start up again. That is a reboot. When you reset a router you take all the settings that have been changed and return every one of them back to how they were from the factory.

Warning: Resetting this router is a big step and you should not take it lightly. We strongly recommend trying other troubleshooting methods. We also recommend creating a list of settings that may be changed. Some of these settings include:

  • The router's main username and password.
  • The network SSID and Internet password.
  • If this is a DSL router you need to re-enter the Internet Service Provider username and password. Call your ISP for the details.
  • Have you made any other changes to your router? If so you need to write these down as well.

While the Huawei B68L router is on take a straightened paperclip or other similar object and press down on the reset button until the lights on the front of the device begin blinking. This usually takes a few seconds. If you don't hold the reset button down long enough you might end up only rebooting the router instead of resetting it like you wanted.

Warning: DO NOT unplug or turn off the router during the reset process. Doing so could result in permanent damage to your router.

Please remember a reset like this one erases every single setting you have ever changed in the past. We strongly recommend trying other methods of troubleshooting before you continue.
