Have you tried to login to the Huawei SmartAX-MT880a router and been unsuccessful? It might be time to consider a reset. In this guide when I use the term reset I do not mean a reboot. When you reboot a router you cycle the power to the unit. When you reset a router you take all the settings and return them all to factory defaults. This means every single setting you have ever changed in the past is erased.

Warning: Resetting the router is a big step and should not be taken lightly. We strongly recommend making a list of all the settings you may of changed in the past. Some of these settings include:

  • The router username and password.
  • port forwards you may of created.
  • IP addresses or DNS addresses that have been changed.
