Have you been trying to login to the Linksys WAG325N router and been unable to do so. It might be time to consider a reset.

There is some confusion between a reset and a reboot. When you reboot a router you cycle the power to the unit. When you reset a router you take all the settings and return them back to factory defaults.

Warning: This reset is a big step and should not be taken lightly. It is a good idea to make a list of all the settings you may of changed in the past. These include:

  • The router's main username and password.
  • The WiFi settings such as the SSID and Internet password.
  • If this a DSL router you need to re-enter the Internet Service Provider (ISP) username and password. Call your ISP for these details.
  • What other settings have you changed? How about port forwards or IP addresses?
