Scroll down this page until you come to the section titled 2.4GHz Wireless-G.

First use the Mode drop down list to choose Mixed.

Second is the Channel. Use this drop down list to choose either channel 1,6, or 11. To learn why we recommend these channels, read our WiFi Channels Guide.

Next is the SSID. This is the name you create in order to identify your network. This name can be anything you like but we recommend avoiding personal information. Learn more about the SSID in our Wireless Names Guide.

Below that is the WEP security mode. Do not use WEP security. With all the advances in technology WEP has become extremely easy to crack. We strongly recommend updating your firmware to allow for a more secure version that allows for WPA2. Learn more about the differences in our WEP vs. WPA guide.

Click the Apply button before you exit.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
