If you need to reset your Netgear FSM7326P router back to factory settings, then this article shows you how. A router reset is very different than a router reboot. Turning a router off and back on again causes a reboot. This is different from a reset because a reset completely erases all settings from the router.
Warning: Before you proceed, there are a few things you need to know. When you reset your router, the following will happen.
- The router's login and password are reset.
- Your WiFi name and password are reset.
- Any ISP settings saved in your router will be removed. You may have to contact your ISP.
- Any port forwards, firewall settings, or parental controls that you have configured will be removed.

Reset the Netgear FSM7326P
Most routers have a small button on either the back or the bottom. What you are looking for is something that looks like this:
Reset buttons are usually tiny. Yours may look slightly different than this. If you find a pinhole on the back of the router then that may be the reset button. You will need a paper clip to push it.
Watch the lights on the front of your router and hold the reset button down for about 10 seconds. The lights on the front of the router should do something different when the reset happens. It is harmless to hold the reset button too long.
