If you need to reset your Netgear FVS124G router back to factory settings, then this article shows you how. A router reset is very different than a router reboot. Unplugging a router from the wall reboots it. Resetting a router erases all settings from it and returns it to factory defaults.
Warning: Make sure that you fully understand the following before resetting your router. When you reset your router, the following will happen.
- The router's login and password are reset.
- All WiFi login information and network names are reset.
- Any ISP settings saved in your router will be removed. You may have to contact your ISP.
- Any firewall settings, parental controls, or port forwards that you have configured will be removed.

Recover Password in Netgear FVS124G

Just keep in mind that a router reset should be done as the last resort when you are unable to login to your router.
Reset the Netgear FVS124G
You can usually find a small reset button on either the back or the bottom of a router. What you are looking for is something that looks like this:
Yours may look slightly different, but they are usually tiny. Sometimes the reset button is under a pinhole on the back of the router, and you need a paper clip to push it.
Watch the front panel lights while you hold the reset button down for at least 10 seconds. The lights on the front of the router should do something different when the reset happens. You can hold the button down as long as you like, it will not hurt anything.
Don't forget, this step will totally reset your Netgear FVS124G router back to factory settings.
