Setup WiFi on the Noganet NG-150N

The Noganet NG-150N router is considered a wireless router because it offers WiFi connectivity. WiFi, or simply wireless, allows you to connect various devices to your router, such as wireless printers, smart televisions, and WiFi enabled smartphones.

Before we get started there is a little bit of background info that you should be familiar with.

Login To The Noganet NG-150N

To get started configuring the Noganet NG-150N WiFi settings you need to login to your router. If you are already logged in you can skip this step.

Find the WiFi Settings on the Noganet NG-150N

If you followed our login guide above then you should see this screen.

The wireless setup guide begins on the Home page of the Noganet NG-150N router. To begin click the Setup Tool icon on the left.

A new page with a list of choices on the left side of the page appears. Of these choices, open the file titled Basic Setup.

Then click Wireless Setup.

Change the WiFi Settings on the Noganet NG-150N

First, change the SSID. This is the name you give your network for identification purposes. While it really doesn't matter what you enter here we recommend avoiding personal information. Check out our Wireless Names Guide for more info.

Now locate the drop-down box labeled Channel. This is the channel you transmit your data on and should be on channel 1,6, or 11. Find out more in our WiFi Channels Guide.

Now skip down to the Authentication. This is the security options for your network. The best option is WPA2PSK. Click this link to learn more.

Beneath that choose AES for the Encryption.

The final setting is titled Encryption Key. This is the password you are to use to access your network. For the best security use 20 characters and at least one symbol, number, and capital letter. Read our Password Guide.

To save your changes, click the Apply button.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
