  • Click Wireless Setup in the left sidebar.

Change the WiFi Settings on the Pirelli PRGAV4202N

  • Click the Enabled box next to Enable Wireless.
  • Use the Wireless Network (SSID) space to enter an original name for your network ID. It really doesn't matter what you enter here but we recommend avoiding personal information. Want more info on this topic? Read our Wireless Names Guide.
  • In the Security drop-down list choose Password Protected (WPA). Read our WEP vs. WPA Guide for more information.
  • You should be given a choice of WPA mode, choose the option of WPA2 Only. If this option does not appear, we recommend updating your firmware to the most recent version. This will allow for the most up-to-date security.
  • Finally you need to enter a Pre-shared Key. This is the password you use to access your network. Use at least 14 to 20 characters here. If you need more help, read our Choosing a Strong Password guide.
  • Click the Apply button to save your changes before you exit.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
