This is the reset guide for the Sagemcom Fast 5370e router. This is a much bigger deal than a router reboot. A reboot happens every time a router loses power. This is different from a reset because a reset completely erases all settings from the router.

Warning: Before you continue, there are a few things you need to know. A router reset will affect the following settings:

  • The router's login credentials are reset to factory defaults.
  • All WiFi login information and network names are reset.
  • All ISP settings will reset to default, and you may have to contact your ISP.
  • Any port forwards, firewall settings, or parental controls that you have configured will be removed.

Resetting your router should be considered the last step. Before you reset your router, you may want to try recovering your router password with our Router Password Finder.

Reset the Sagemcom Fast 5370e

Most routers have a small button on either the back or the bottom. Most reset buttons look like this:

Router Reset Button

Reset buttons are usually tiny. Yours may look slightly different than this. You might find a pinhole on the back of the router that requires a paper clip to push the button hidden under it.

Hold the reset button down for about 10 seconds while watching the lights on the front of your router. After a few seconds the lights should blink differently. When this happens, the reset is complete. You cannot hold the button too long, and it will not hurt the router to hold the reset button down for longer than 10 seconds.

Just don't forget that this will totally reset your Sagemcom Fast 5370e router.

Only do this once you have exhausted all other troubleshooting options, such as running our Router Password Finder software, which can recover a lost router password for you.
