Reset the Trendnet TEW-630APB

If you need to reset your Trendnet TEW-630APB router back to factory settings, then this article shows you how. A router reset is very different than a router reboot. Rebooting a router is simply turning it off and back on again. However, when you reset a router you, return it back to its factory default settings.

Warning: Proceed with caution; resetting your router can be a major headache. When you reset your router, the following will happen.

  • The router's login credentials are reset.
  • All WiFi information such as network name, password, and authentication method are erased.
  • Your ISP settings are reset, which means you will have to contact your ISP to get them back.
  • Any firewall settings, parental controls, and port forwards that you have configured will be removed.

Reset the Trendnet TEW-630APB

You can usually find a small reset button on either the back or the bottom of a router. Look at your router and try to find something that looks like this:

Reset buttons are usually tiny. Yours may look slightly different than this. If you find a pinhole on the back of the router then that may be the reset button. You will need a paper clip to push it.

Keep an eye on the lights on the front of your router while holding the reset button down for about 10 seconds. The blinking pattern of the lights on the front of the router should change when the reset is complete. You can hold the button down as long as you like, it will not hurt anything.

Remember, this will totally reset your Trendnet TEW-630APB router.
