This article covers how to reset the Vodafone Easybox-802 router back to factory default settings. A router reset is a much bigger deal than a router reboot. Rebooting a router is simply turning it off and back on again. Resetting a router erases all settings from it and returns it to factory defaults.

Warning: Before you continue, there are a few things you need to know. The following settings in your router will be changed:

  • The router's login and password are reset to factory defaults.
  • All WiFi login information and network names are reset.
  • Any ISP settings saved in your router will be removed. You may have to contact your ISP.
  • All parental controls, firewall settings, and port forwards will be removed.

A router reset is the last step you should take in recovering your router's password. Before you reset your router, you may want to try recovering your router password with our Router Password Finder.

Reset the Vodafone Easybox-802

Most of the time you can find a small reset button located on either the back or the bottom of a router. Look for something that looks like this:

Router Reset Button

Your reset button may look different, but usually they are very small. If you find a pinhole on the back of the router then that may be the reset button. You will need a paper clip to push it.

Hold the reset button down for 10 seconds and watch the lights. Notice how the lights on the front of the router are blinking. When the lights do something different, the router is reset. You can hold the button down as long as you like, it will not hurt anything.

Remember, this will totally reset your Vodafone Easybox-802 router.

This last step should only be taken if you have tried everything else, such as using our Router Password Finder software, which can recover lost or forgotten router passwords.

Login to the Vodafone Easybox-802
