A factory reset puts your Zhone gateway back to its default settings.
Check With Your ISP First
Your ISP set up the gateway. A reset can erase the Internet, phone and TV settings, and some ISPs have to put them back for you. Write down your WiFi details and port forwards too.
Method 1: The Reset Button
- With the gateway on, press and hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.
- Let go and wait a few minutes.
Method 2: Reset From the Web Interface
Log in and go to Management > Settings > Restore Default. On ZNID units, go to System > Reboot / Restore Defaults.
After the Reset
Log in with the defaults (see the Zhone login guide). If the Internet doesn't come back within a few minutes, call your ISP.
