Login To The ZyXEL EMG2926

Find the WiFi Settings on the ZyXEL EMG2926

This wireless setup guide for the ZyXEL EMG2926 Videotron router starts on the Status page. Begin by clicking the Settings icon on the left hand side of the page. From there, go to Network and then Wireless LAN 2.4G.

Change the WiFi Settings on the ZyXEL EMG2926

Start off by deciding on a Name (SSID). This will serve as your network identification, and can be anything you like. However, due to security reasons, we recommend that you avoid any personal information. To learn more, be sure to take a look at our Wireless Names Guide.

Now make sure that the Security Mode is set to WPA2-PSK. To learn why this is important, check out our WEP vs. WPA Guide.

Lastly, you'll need to set a Pre-Shared Key. This will be your network password. A strong password is 14-20 characters long and doesn't include any personal information. For more helpful tips, see our Choosing a Strong Password Guide.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
