Reset the ZyXEL EX3220-T0

This guide shows you how to reset your ZyXEL EX3220-T0 router. This is a much bigger deal than a router reboot. Rebooting a router is simply turning it off and back on again. However, when you reset a router you, return it back to its factory default settings.

Warning: Before you proceed, there are a few things you need to know. When you reset your router, the following will happen.

  • The router's login credentials are reset to factory defaults.
  • All WiFi information such as network name, password, and authentication method are erased.
  • Any ISP settings saved in your router will be removed. You may have to contact your ISP.
  • Any parental controls, firewall settings, or port forwards will be removed.

Resetting your router should be considered the last step. Before you reset your router, you may want to try recovering your router password with our Router Password Finder.

Reset the ZyXEL EX3220-T0

Usually there is a reset button located on the back or bottom of a router. Look at your router and try to find something that looks like this:

Your reset button may look different, but usually they are very small. Sometimes the reset button is under a pinhole on the back of the router, and you need a paper clip to push it.

Watch the front panel lights while you hold the reset button down for at least 10 seconds. You should notice that the blinking pattern of the lights on the front of the router changes after a few seconds. It is harmless to hold the reset button too long.

Don't forget, this step will totally reset your ZyXEL EX3220-T0 router back to factory settings.

Login to the ZyXEL EX3220-T0

Change Your Password

Tip: After creating this new password, we highly recommend writing this down on a post-it note and attaching it to the bottom of your router for future reference.
