How to Reset the A-Link RoadRunner 24AP

This guide will show you how to reset your A-Link RR24AP router. Resetting your router is different than rebooting the router. Rebooting is simply turning it off and back on again. Resetting the router erases all the configurations you have done to it returning it to the original factory defaults.

Warning: Since this erases everything you have done to the router there are some things you need to consider first.

  • The router's interface username and password are reset.
  • The wireless username and password are reset to factory defaults.
  • The ISP username and password need to be re-entered. If you are unsure of these you will need to call your ISP for details.
  • Any configurations you have made such as firewalls or port forwards need to be redone.

Reset the A-Link RoadRunner 24AP

While the router is turned on, look on the left side of it.

Toward the back should be a reset button. Use a paperclip or other small object to press and hold this small button for about 10 seconds.

Remember this will erase everything you have previously done to this A-Link RR24AP. Only do this once you have exhausted all other troubleshooting options.

Login to the A-Link RoadRunner 24AP

Change Your Password

Tip: After creating this new password we highly recommend writing this down on a post-it note and attaching it to the bottom of your A-Link RR24AP for future reference.
