In this guide I will cover how to reset the Amped-Wireless R10000 router. This is not the same thing as rebooting a router. Rebooting is simply restarting the router or turning it off and back on again. Resetting the router is almost as simple but has more drastic consequences. A reset erases any changes you have made and reverts the router back at factory default settings.

Tip: Be careful when you reset your Amped-Wireless R10000 router. Some things to consider before continuing are:

  • The router's main username and password are reset.
  • The network SSID/username and password are reset to factory defaults.
  • If you connect to the Internet using DSL you need to re-enter the ISP (Internet Service Provider) username and password. If you don't know these call your ISP.
  • All configurations such as port forwards or IP address changes are erased.
