Configure your Computer to Have a Static IP Address

Port forwarding the AZiO AER114A to your computer can be more reliable if you first configure a static IP address on your computer. We have instructions to setup a static IP address for Windows 7, Windows 8, and a variety of other devices on our Static IP Address Settings page.

Please note that while setting up a static IP address on your computer is optional, it is still a very good idea to go ahead and do it. In the long run it will make your port forward much more reliable.

Login To The AZiO AER114A

Forward a Port on the AZiO AER114A router

Find The Port Forwarding Section of the AZiO AER114A

This guide begins on the System Status page of the AZiO AER114A router. To forward a port, click the option at the top of the page labeled NAT. Now look to the left side of the page, click the link titled Port Mapping.

Configure the Port Forwarding section of your AZiO AER114A

Now to forward a port, make the following changes:

You may notice that on the left there is another option of Virtual Server. Where the virtual server page only allows for single ports to be forwarded, the port mapping page will allow for single and ranges of ports to be forwarded.

You should now be on the Port Mapping page of the AZiO AER114A.

  • In the Server IP box, enter the local IP address of the computer you are forwarding these ports to.
  • Next is the Mapping Ports box. Enter the ports to be forwarded here. They can be entered as a list, 22,23,24, a range, 22-24, or even a combination of both, 22,23,24,500-600.
  • Use the Type drop down menu to choose the type of protocol you want to use while forwarding these ports.
  • In the Comment box, enter something that will help you remember why you are forwarding these ports, the name of the program is one good idea.
  • Place a check in the Enablebox.
  • Click the OK button.

Now that you have forwarded ports on the AZiO AER114A you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
