Setup WiFi on the Aztech DSL1015EN-L

Before we get started there is a little bit of background info that you should be familiar with.

Login To The Aztech DSL1015EN-L

Once you have finished logging into the Aztech DSL1015EN-L router you need to click the link at the top of the page labeled Quick Setup.

Change the WiFi Settings on the Aztech DSL1015EN-L

You are directed to the page you see above. From here you can either click Wireless Settings near the top of the page or you can scroll down until you see the heading of Wireless -- Settings.

  • The first setting you need to change is titled the SSID. This is the network name you use to identify your network. Enter a unique name here but try and avoid personal information that actually identifies you. Learn more in our guide titled How to Change Your Wireless Name.
  • The next setting is the Channel. Make sure you use channels 1, 6, or 11. Find out why in our WiFi Channels guide.
  • Below that is the Network Authentication. Set this to WPA2-PSK for the strongest form of security. Learn more about this topic in our guide titled WEP vs. WPA.
  • Now skip down a couple settings to WPA Pre-Shared Key. This is the Internet password. It needs to be strong. We recommend using at least 14 to 20 characters. For help on this check out our guide titled Choosing a Strong Password.

That's it, don't worry about any of the other settings, simply click the option of Save/Apply before you exit this page. That's it, you did it, congratulations!

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
