Find The Port Forwarding Section of the Belkin F5D6231-4

When you have finished logging into the Belkin F5D6231-4 you begin on the Status page. On the left is a list of links, click the one labeled Virtual Servers under the heading of Firewall.

Configure the Port Forwarding section of your Belkin F5D6231-4

Now to forward a port, make the following changes:

You should now be on the correct page. First, place a check mark in the box labeled Enable.

Next to that is the Description, enter the name of the program here, or something that reminds you of why you are forwarding these ports.

If you are forwarding a single port, enter this number into both boxes under the heading of Inbound port, enter this same number in the two boxes under Private port. If you are forwarding a range of ports, enter the lowest number of the range in the left box of both Inbound port, and Private port. Enter the highest number in the right box of both Inbound port and Private port.

Next is the Type, use this drop down menu to choose the type of protocol you want to use when you forward these ports.

After this is the Private IP address, enter the IP Address you are forwarding these ports to in this box, for example if you are forwarding some ports to run a certain program on your computer, make sure to enter your computer's IP address here.

That's it, you are finished, the only thing left to do is to save your changes before exiting.

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports on the Belkin F5D6231-4 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
