This guide will show you how to reset the Billion 400G router back to original factory defaults. First, there are two terms that are easily confused, reboot and reset. To reboot something means to cycle it's power by turning it off and back on again. This solves some minor problems you might be having. To reset is to take all the settings and return them back to factory settings.

Warning: This router reset is a serious step and should only be done after careful consideration of the following:

  • The router's username and password are returned to factory defaults.
  • The WiFi name, password, and security method are all returned to default.
  • If you have a DSL router you need to re-enter the ISP username and password. Call your Internet Service Provider for more details.
  • If you have ever changed any other settings on this router you need to reconfigure them afterwards. This might include IP addresses or maybe port forwards.
