Configure your Computer to Have a Static IP Address

Port forwarding the Billion Bipac 7300GX to your computer can be more reliable if you first configure a static IP address on your computer. We have instructions to setup a static IP address for Windows 7, Windows 8, and a variety of other devices on our Static IP Address Settings page.

Please note that while setting up a static IP address on your computer is optional, it is still a very good idea to go ahead and do it. In the long run it will make your port forward much more reliable.

Login To The Billion Bipac 7300GX

To get started forwarding a port you need to login to your Billion Bipac 7300GX router. If you are already logged in you can skip this step.

Forward a Port on the Billion Bipac 7300GX router

Find The Port Forwarding Section of the Billion Bipac 7300GX

Now that you have finished logging into the Billion BiPAC-7300GX you are taken to the Status page. To the left is a list of links in blue. Click the one labeled Configuration, Virtual Server, and lastly Port Forwarding.

Configure the Port Forwarding section of your Billion Bipac 7300GX

Now to forward a port, make the following changes:

You are now on a page where you can configure a port to forward. In the first box is Application, enter the name of the program in this box. You can write anything you want in this box, we highly recommend entering something that will help you to remember why you are forwarding these ports.

The next box below this is labeled Protocol. This is a drop down menu where you choose the type of protocol you want to use when actually forwarding these ports.

Continuing down the page, the next box is External Port. When you are forwarding a single port, enter that port number in both the from and to boxes. You need to also enter that same number in both the boxes of Redirect Port. If you are going to be forwarding a range of ports, enter the lowest number of the range in the box labeled from next to both External Port and Redirect Port and the highest number of the range in the to boxes of both External Port and Redirect Port.

In the box labeled Internal IP Address enter the IP address you are forwarding these ports to. If you plan on forwarding a port to run a specific program on your computer, make sure to use that computer's IP address here. They have also given you the option of choosing the correct IP address from the drop down menu to the right.

The Time Schedule should be left as Always On.

When you are finished click the Add button.

You're done, congratulations!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports on the Billion Bipac 7300GX you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
