This page shows you how to reset the Billion BiPAC-7404VNOX router back to the original factory default settings. Before we start there are two terms that are easily confused, to reset and to reboot. To reboot a router is to cycle the power to it by unplugging the power, waiting about 30 seconds, then plugging the power back in. To reset a router is to take all the settings and return them back to factory defaults.

Warning: Resetting a router can be problematic if you don't understand what changes when the reset is complete. We suggest making a list of settings you know will be changed. We have started that list for you:

  • The router's main username and password are returned to factory defaults.
  • The Internet name, password, and security method are reverted to factory defaults.
  • If you use DSL you need to re-enter the ISP or Internet Service Providers username and password. You'll need to call your ISP for this info.
  • Have you made any other changes to the router? How about port forwards? How about IP addresses?
