Setup WiFi on the Billion BiPAC 7800DXL

Login To The Billion BiPAC 7800DXL

Once you log into the Billion BiPAC 7800DXL router you should be taken to the Home page. To start out click Configuration on the left hand side of the page and then Wireless 2.4 (w10) just beneath that. Finally, click Basic.

Begin by setting an SSID. This will serve as your network name and can be whatever you want it to be. However, due to security reasons we highly recommend avoiding any use of personal information. To learn more be sure to visit our Wireless Names Guide.

Start off by making sure the WPS option is set to Disable. Want to know more, our guide titled What is WPS will answer your questions.

Open the drop down menu labeled Select SSID and choose the SSID you just created.

After that set the Network Authentication to WPA2-PSK. This will provide you with the best security. Want to know why? Read our WEP vs. WPA Guide to find out.

Now you'll need to set a WPA/WAPI passphrase. This will be your network password and can be anything you want it to be. However keep in mind that a strong password consists of 14-20 characters in length. For more help be sure to visit our Choosing a Strong Password Guide.

Lastly set the WPA/WAPI Encryption to AES.

That's it! You're done. Just don't forget to click Apply before leaving the page.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
