With this page we will show you how to successfully reset the Binatone WR1500N2 router back to factory defaults. This is different than a router reboot. Rebooting a router is cycling the power to the device by unplugging the power, wait about 30 seconds, then plugging the power back in. A router reset on the other hand takes all the settings and reverts them all back to factory defaults.
Tip: Resetting a router is a serious step. We recommend making a list of the settings that you know will be changed. We have started the list for you:
- The router's main username and password.
- The Internet ID and password.
- If you use DSL you need to re-enter the ISP username and password. This information can be obtained by calling your Internet Service Provider.

Reset the Binatone WR1500N2
First, where is the reset button on your router? Almost all routers have a "hard reset" button in order to revert all settings back to factory in the event that you forget your IP address, username, or password in order to enter the router's graphical interface. For the Binatone WR1500N2 router the reset button is located on the front panel. See the image below.
To reset the Binatone WR1500N2 router you need to hold this button down for at least 5 seconds. Less than that and all you have done is turned on the WPS function of your router. Make sure to hold down this reset button for a minimum of 5 seconds.
