This page shows you how to reset the Digisol DG-HR1400 router back to it's original factory settings. It's important that you know the difference between a reset and a reboot before we continue. A reboot is a cycle of the power to the device. A reset is going to take all the settings and return them to factory defaults.
Warning: Resetting a router is a big step in solving a problem you're having with this router. We recommend making a list of the settings you know you have changed in order to reconfigure them afterwards. Consider the following:
- The router's main username and password is reverted to factory defaults.
- The Internet settings such as SSID and password are reverted to factory defaults.
- If this is a DSL router you will need to re-enter the ISP username and password. Call your ISP or Internet Service Provider for more information.
- Have you ever made any other changes to this router. Write these down so you can reconfigure them later.

Use a VPN Instead

Now that you have read through the warnings you need to find the reset button on your router. We have circled it's location for you in the image below.
Take the tip of a sharp pencil or pen and press down on the reset button for about 5 seconds. Less than that and you may end up simply rebooting the router instead of resetting it like you wanted.
Remember this reset will erase every single setting you have ever changed on your device. If you want to try and avoid that we recommend trying other troubleshooting methods first.
Login to the Digisol DG-HR1400
After resetting your Digisol DG-HR1400 router you'll need to log into it. This is done by using the factory default username and password. We have these for you in our Login Guide.
Tip: If the defaults aren't logging you in it may be because the reset button wasn't held down for long enough.
Change Your Password
Next we suggest changing the default password. This can be whatever you like, however keep in mind that a strong password is 14-20 characters in length and contains no personal information. For more help take a look at our Choosing a Strong Password Guide.
Tip: Avoid losing your new password by writing it on a note and putting it on the underside of your router.
Setup WiFi on the Digisol DG-HR1400
