On this page I will be showing you how to reset the Dlink DSL-2750E router back to the original factory defaults. This is not the same thing as a reboot. When I use the word reboot I am referring to a cycle in the power to the device. When I use the word reset I am referring to a complete factory reset of all previously changed settings.

Warning: This reset is a big step and should not be taken lightly. We recommend making a list of all the settings you know about that have been changed in the past. Consider the following:

  • The router's username and password are reverted back to factory defaults.
  • The Internet name and password are reverted back to factory defaults.
  • If this is a DSL router you need to enter in the ISP username and password to be able to use the Internet again. Call your local Internet Service Provider (ISP) for the details.
  • Have you ever forwarded a port? Have you ever changed an IP address? All of these changes are erased and need to be reconfigured.
