Setup WiFi on the Dlink DSL-2770L

Before we get started there is a little bit of background info that you should be familiar with.

Login To The Dlink DSL-2770L

Change the WiFi Settings on the Dlink DSL-2770L

Start off by making sure the box labeled Enable Wireless is checked.

Following that you'll need to set a Wireless Network Name(SSID). This can be whatever you want. However, due to security reasons, we strongly recommend avoiding any personal information. To learn more see our Wireless Names Guide.

Now set the Security Mode to WPA-Personal.

The Cipher Type needs to be set to AES.

Finally you'll need to set a Pre-Shared Key. This is the same as your network password and can be anything you like. However keep in mind that a strong password consists of 14-20 characters and contains no personal information. For more help check out our Choosing a Strong Password Guide.

Congratulations, you're finished. Just be sure to click Apply Settings before leaving the page.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
