Here on this page I will show you how to reset the Edimax AR-7266WnA router back to it's original factory default settings. Before I do that however I need to explain the difference between a reset and a reboot. When I reboot a router I cycle the power to the unit. When I reset a router I take all the settings that have ever been changed and return them all to factory defaults.

Warning: This erases all settings you have changed. Don't do this unless you have exhausted your other options first. We highly recommend creating a list of settings you may of changed. Things to consider in your list are:

  • The main username and password is reverted back to the original factory defaults.
  • The Internet username and password are also reverted back to factory defaults.
  • If you use a DSL router you need to re-enter the ISP or Internet Service Provider username and password.
  • Write down any other changes you may of made. This could include port forwards or IP Addresses.
