If you can't login to the Edimax BR-6215SRG router you may need to reset it.
Warning: Resetting this router is a big step and should not be taken lightly. You need to re-setup the router after the reset is complete. Everything personal is lost. Consider the following before continuing:
Now that you have considered the consequences of this reset you need to find the reset button. Take a look at the image below. The reset button is circled in red for you.
Take a straightened paperclip and press down on the reset button for at least 10 seconds. This begins the reset process which can take up to a minute or more to complete.
Warning: If you don't hold this reset button down for long enough you end up only rebooting the router instead of resetting it like you wanted.
Don't forget a reset like this is going to erase every single setting you have ever changed on this device. We strongly recommend that you try other methods of troubleshooting before you reset the Edimax BR-6215SRG router.
After you've reset the Edimax BR-6215SRG router you'll need to log into it. This is accomplished by using the factory default username and password. Not sure where you can find these? We have them listed for you in our Login Guide.
Tip: If the defaults aren't logging you in it might be because the reset button wasn't held down for long enough.
Once you've logged into your router we recommend setting a new password for it. This can be anything you want however keep in mind that a strong password consists of 14-20 characters and contains no personal information. For more help be sure to visit our Choosing a Strong Password Guide.
Tip: Keep from losing your new password by writing it on a note and taping it to the underside of your router.
Finally it's time to start the reconfiguration process. This must include the WiFi settings. For an easy to read guide on that topic click the link titled How to Setup WiFi on the Edimax BR-6215SRG.
