Reset the Hitron Technologies CODA-4582

In this article, you will learn how to reset your Hitron Technologies CODA-4582 back to factory settings. A router reset is very different than a router reboot. Turning a router off and back on again causes a reboot. However, when you reset a router you, return it back to its factory default settings.

Warning: Before you continue, there are a few things you need to know. A router reset will affect the following settings:

  • The router's username and password are reset to factory defaults.
  • All WiFi login information and network names are reset.
  • If your router has any ISP settings they will be removed, and you will have to contact your ISP.
  • Any firewall settings, parental controls, and port forwards that you have configured will be removed.

Reset the Hitron Technologies CODA-4582

You can usually find a small reset button on either the back or the bottom of a router. A typical reset button looks like this:

Even though yours may look slightly different, you need to look for a tiny button. Sometimes the reset button is under a pinhole on the back of the router, and you need a paper clip to push it.

Watch the lights on the front of your router and hold the reset button down for about 10 seconds. The lights on the front of the router should do something different when the reset happens. You can hold the button down as long as you like, it will not hurt anything.

Keep in mind that this will completely reset your Hitron Technologies CODA-4582 router.
